Atlantis Dumaguete, Post Retirement Dives 850, 851 June 21, 2025
My last two muck/critter macro lens dives at Atlantis Dumaguete before boarding Atlantis Azores (aka Adventurer) at 5 pm for our 17 day diving trip.
The first dive truly was a muck dive with lots of fine sediment easily stirred up from the bottom. Below: Giant Frogfish face with background of discarded rope. Can you find its eye and its open mouth?
Below: Ornate Ghost Pipefish followed by a well camouflaged flounder.
Tiny, maybe 3/8 inch nudibranchs on algae blade. Below:
Orange Ornate Ghost Pipefish followed by a small school of Shrimpfish. Below:
Three inch brick red Frogfish followed by an incredible hard to focus on and photograph skinny shy 3 inch long fish that is really cool and that I've got to figure out what it is, tbd... Oh, its a Threadfin Sand Diver! Below:
A pair of small, maybe 4 inch, scorpion fish with a tiny sea star, then joined by a third. Below:
Small, 2 inch, Filefish, below:
Beautiful 2 inch Dragonet followed by transparent shrimp and cool crabs with soft coral. Below:
Above: Leaf Scorpionfish
