God's Pocket, 2nd day's dives at Clam Wall, Aquarium, and Eagle's Nest March 26, 2019

Amazingly, the weather on our second day at God's Pocket was again simply wonderful.  We departed at 7:30 am for our first dive of the day, the early departure set by the state of the tide.  Below are some photos from our first dive, at Clam Wall, for more, please go to:

TBD Sea Star, new to me, maybe 16 inches across.

Beautiful Ling Cod, the white coloration on its pectoral fin isn't found on the Ling Cod in California.

We had excellent clear water and sunny conditions as you can see in the surface light in this photo.

Our second morning dive was at Aquarium, we again had excellent visibility and great diving conditions.  Below are some photos from this dive, to see more please go to:

                             Look at the surface light!

A new nudibranch, for me, species TBD.

I loved the beautiful, open, Basket Stars on this dive.

Another new type of nudibranch, for me, TBD species...Pleased with this photo since I was shooting with my wide angle Tokina...

Here, a new type of Sea Anemone, for me, TBD...I love seeing new types of marine life.

Our third and final dive of the day was at Eagle's Nest.

Guy dropping at Eagle's Nest, check out the visibility and light!

Lots and lots of Kelp Greenling at our dive sites but they were shy, it was non trivial to get a reasonable close up.

The invertebrate life density was amazing, so were the bright colors, reminiscent of Fiji soft corals!

I found the Red Irish Lord sculpins at God's Pocket as irresistible to photo as I find Cabezon, the largest sculpin, in California.

Guy works on carefully lighting a Red Irish Lord

Backlit Bull Kelp, look at the water clarity and sunlight!

Beautiful Brooding Anemones, a new species for me.
