First day of diving Santa Cruz Island with the Vision November 16, 2016

Wednesday the 16th.  We crossed over to Santa Cruz Island during the night, six hours or so, quite a rough crossing.  We headed back north to Santa Cruz in order to be able to comfortably shelter from the high winds forecast for today and tomorrow.  First dive was at Flaming Reef.  Beautiful kelp beds.  Much colder, down to 53 degrees at 70 ft below thermocline compared to the 61-64 degree temperatures down south.  Second and third dives were at Blue Bank.  Shallow, 20 to 30 ft depths.  Much warmer 61 degrees, great light, great visibility.  Saw large school of Pacific Barracuda on the second dive.
