Otter Cove, again. May 6, 2016

I made a second dive at Otter Cove on Friday morning.  It was overcast so light was limited, water temperature was much warmer at 51 degrees (four degrees water temp is a big deal), visibility was 10 to 15 ft at the start of the dive, the tide was coming in and I had 15 to 20 ft at the end.  I was very pleased to not see a single sea urchin out in the open, I think the kelp bed will recover rapidly now.  Still only saw a few rockfish and one juvenile ling cod.  Below are some pictures from this dive, for more, please go to:  https://plus.google.com/photos/110159573286645489662/albums/6282071427840721105?authkey=CPqri7zliPmHXA

I was pleased, again, to see quite a few healthy spiny sea stars on this dive.  You can see that the warmer water has that summer green color instead of any blue....15 ft visibility.

     Tube Anemones

Otter Cove has lots of big, beautiful anemones.

Three Kellet's Whelks, perhaps together for reproduction.

Black Eyed Goby in a snail egg case (possibly Kellet's Whelk).
