Three Beautiful Coral Reef Dives off East Lembeh Island , p.r. dives 929, 30, 31 May 7, 2026
I requested a day of coral reef diving since I knew there were excellent coral reefs within easy boat cruise reach of Lembeh Resort. The Resort swiftly scheduled a day of coral reef diving. Below:
We were fortunate to catch a vey calm day to cruise south out of Lembeh Strait around to the exposed east coast of Lembeh Island. Below:
Approaching our first dive site Pulua Dua (two islands) and getting our dive briefing. Below:
Below: The reef at this site is full of big beautiful sponges. Guy taking a picture.
Dense marine life, beautiful, but no large fish to be seen. Below:

Departing Pulua Dua for our second dive at a site called "Fire Ball" on flat calm seas. Below:
The tip of a pinnacle marks our second dive site. Eldo giving us our dive briefing for "Fire Ball" which is a pair of pinnacles.

We started our dive by swimming through a large crevice between the pinnacles. Below:
There were lots of big beautiful sea fans on the pinnacles' walls. Below:
Who is this Guy? Below:
Spotted this well camouflaged Scorpionfish. Can you see it? Try the second picture. Below:
A Pufferfish sheltering in two different sponges. Below:
Obo'k sends up his buoy as we begin our safety stop. Below:
After our second morning dive we went into a beach for the lunch the crew had brought. Below:
Below are some photos from our third and final coral reef dive off the east coast of Lembeh Island at a site called Tangung Pukuku.
